Post Your desert island effect
Hi all,

Eric's "Stick Effects" thread inspired me:
If you could use only one effect with your Stick, what would you use (and why)?

My favorite would be a delay pedal, for me it's one of the most versatile effects.
You can
- use it with long delay settings to play lyrically
- fatten up the sound with a short delay
- with only one repeat and a shorter delay time you can double your speed while playing riffs
- with a very short delay time and high feedback you can get a comb filter-like effect
- with a long delay time and high feedback you can use it like a looper

So what is your desert island pedal? I'm curious.

Johannes

What Brett said.

(With my Keeley 4-knob compressor taking a very close second....)

From where you get the electric supply on a desert island...
and thet's not the only reason why I'm not amused of desert islands...
...and at the end, I can only a little bit better swimm than a stick does...

Have the EQ and reverb I need for the highs on my AER amp. As for power, a solar charger for the battery would be nice...

Externally, a good hall reverb and tape echo type delay are always near the top of my list.

Cheers,
Andy

Per, you're cheating! You were supposed to chose a single effect, not a machine that can do them all :-)

I would want a full range harmonizer to combat the loneliness. As for reverb or delay on a desert island, you people must be masochists.

No doubt, I would play "Message in a Bottle" better than Sting himself if I ever made it back to civilization.
