Hi greg and everyone.
I use Bag End cabs as well as Greg and love them. Heres my question until recently I have used the s15x-d cab whereas Greg uses the S15LX-D. I augment my bass side with an accugroove cab to get a little more warmth Great sound but since they are now selling the S15LX-D again I wonder if I can get the same sound with one cab? In other words does anyone know if the "L" cab add a significant amount of deepth and warmth? I 'd love to carry just 1 cab behemoth that it is (Iwould put wheels on it)
Thanks Brett
Hi Brett the S15LX-D has much more warmth. It moves a lot more air. The extra depth is well worth the extra size, and the cabinet is noticeably deeper.
I had played at their both at NAMM for several years, and they had provided their ELF system to SE for our booth. Great stuff. When I first saw found out about this cabinet I asked them to send me a pair for a summer NAMM show, I ended up buying them.
A coax weeter gives you the best imaging when you have stereo effects, IMO.
Tom Griesgraber uses them as well, I believe.
