Post New Fishman Loudbox Artists 120 amp
I received my Loudbox 120 amp today.

http://www.fishman.com/products/view/loudbox-artist

Originally, I had ordered the Loudbox 100 back in August from a nearby music store (nobody in the province had one in stock). The new 120s were scheduled to replace the 100s and arrive in Sept. But then Fishman oversold them and orders are now filled, or so I assume.

So far so good. I can't begin to give this amp a proper review right now. I've only tested it in my rehearsal room going solo. But I have a small road gig this week with a violinist. So I'll see how it flies.

My main reasons for getting this amp was portability (for rehearsals, etc) with possible gig-ability in smaller situations. It seems like this amp will fulfill those requirements. And I'm thinking it could surpass gigging expectations. There's a lot of power in this thing. We'll see.

I'm interested if others have tried this amp yet. Let me know.

Well, the brief review is as follows: I love it.

Small package. Great sound. Packs a punch. I ended up using it in a full band situation in a fair sized auditorium. It was a last-minute throw together ordeal with no sound check, and I was not run through the house board...I played through the amp dry (not my ideal choice).

Everyone said that my sound was crystal clear with the band, both highs and lows through all the potential chaos.

My only disappointments are: 1) no tuner output jack, 2) I had some minor buzzing on a specific low pitch or two (but I think that might have come from a snare drum behind me), 3) the bass end is not my preferred or ideal bass sound...but it's not a bad sound. It's a little more 'acoustic' in sound as opposed to an organic bass sound.

All in all, I think this is a great amp. It's Canadian price is in the $500 range (list), that's over $100 less than the previous 100w Loudbox list price.
