Very cool. I've been working on a similar idea but with the goal of using an over the shoulder guitar strap to hold my stick up higher than my waist when I play. This is the 4th version and I'm not entirely satisfied but it does work much better for me than putting it on my belt.

Seems like we're onto the same basic concept :) !
