Post Alternative Gig Bag
Stick Enterprises are out of Gigbags for my Grand Stick, with no date for new stock in sight-

Anyone got any ideas for an alternative?

Perhaps a small keyboard gig bag?

Cheers

John

Soft case for a rifle?

Just watch the branding if you intend to fly ;)

I use a generic Bass Guitar bag from the music store-take the Stick and try a few-it is a OK fit and offers some protection-about $45.

Post Alternative Gig Bag
I just returned from holiday and took it wrapped in a blanket- I'm sure from the way in held it it looked like I was carrying a rifle! Still- didn't get any strange comments..

I have been wanting a slim gigbag for a while. Since the SE one looked like an old biathalon template, I looked into everything from lacross and field hockey to catamaran keel and paddle bags to wwII griswold paratrooper bags and assult rifles hoping to find an OEM solution. The most promising OEM solution was is the Red Oxx Varmint Bag. The owner of Red Oxx was super nice and said that everything was made there in Montana, but I never pursued it. I also spoke with the owner of Alteri here in Denver with a rough concept a year ago who was very unreceptive and "too busy for that"--So much for trying to support local business.

Let me know if you find anything. I designed soft goods for a while and want a nice bag.

I like the prototype you posted a picture of.

I'm going to try a local sports superstore - Decathlon - I think a large kit bag might do it..

I'm also looking for a slim gig bag now... And now I think of just getting some foam, a piece of cordura and borrowing a sewing machine. Stick gig bag looks easy enough for a diy project.

You guys really think the SE gig bag is too big or bulky? It is puny compared to any bass or guitar case. I also welcome the little bit of padding to protect the Stick from slamming into doorjams and table corners.

The problem is you can't get the official gig bag, and there is no date when they will be back in stock.

Tried a sports store, but nothing of use.. my search continues
