So for a while now I've been using software controlled by CV pedals for volume swells and such. I'm now looking for two hardware type volume pedals. Ernie Ball has been known to make some good ones but they seem to be 250k for the mono pedals - and I only saw a 500k stereo one from them. Because input impedance should be higher for the Stick pickups (1meg or more) I guess I'm going to need an active volume pedal.

Anyone have any suggestions?

Ernie Ball are known to be tone suckers (although I didn't notice high loss with my old one, but I run a SP2 preamp before : I'm pretty satisfied with that combo). You should have a look to the big Boss ones (FV500 I think) or Morley active one.

I have an older version of the FV500H (FV300H, it's a stereo pedal), and it has served me perfectly for many years already.

Morley's Little Alligator (Steve Vai model). I loved it on guitar, never tried in with the Stick.

I use two Ernie Ball volume pedals. Owned them for about 12 years. Work well for me.

The Yamaha FC9 is a nice, adjustable, stereo volume pedal that I use. It was recommended to me by a professional musician I know who claims to have tried every volume pedal out there. Whether or not that is true doesn't change the fact that it's been a solid component in my gear bag for several years now.

I didn't know that one. Yamaha makes some products that usually stay "under the radar" but are well made, sturdy and functional (I loved my MIDI MFC10 when I owned my old PODs). I wonder about the impedance for this one though, as it seems to be a volume controller for keyboards. What about the footprint dimensions (seems pretty small)?

Regarding Yamaha's products 'under the radar' .... My MFC10 Midi foot controller is like that. Awesome controller...but you don't hear much about it. I didn't know about the FC9 either...I have a FC7 cv pedal that is really built well.
