Post Re: Boss vs Line6 for a 6-stringer
Unfortunately my solution for not buying a true guitar amp for my 6-string electric is coming to an end  I've been using a SansAmp GT-2 with pretty good results. Liked the overdrive/amp tones on it better than any Boss or Line6 unit I've used. Worked well with the Fishman Loudbox. Now, it's developing a serious noise issue I can somewhat remedy by turning down the treble filter on it, but it's really annoying to record with. Fortunately for some reason the extra noise isn't coming through my recordings. And playing at Oz's every Thursday night I get some really ugly moments. Bought it used, not sure whether to replace it with a new one or try something else. I use a SansAmp Bass DI, and I've had that for around ten years. Still going strong.

Interested to see what you arrive at Glenn, are you going for rack or floor, or does it matter?
