I just never liked the idea of having a computer on the floor. And with 2 artificial hips, knob twirlidge is impossible (it's never left my desk). I'll get a pedalboard when I need it.

Re: Line 6 POX X3 Pro announced
The Pro version looks interesting, although my main reason for having a POD X3 Live (I've never tried one so this is just a theory) would be for simple gigs where setup is minimal... bring one pedal board, plug in both sides of the Stick and go (with a house system I wouldn't even need to bring an amp). It probably wouldn't give me the flexibility and subtlety I want for recording situations but a basic collection of dual effects like delay, slow gear, chorus, etc. that I could turn on and off with a switch or control with the pedal would be very helpful in a simple live setup (when I wanted something more than just reverb). The last time I tried to bring my rack and MIDI pedal board to the open mic or other short gig it was a PITA. Anyone successfully use the X3 Live in this kind of situation? Any of you folks wanting to switch to the new Pro version are welcome to donate your unit to me for evaluation.

Hi Bruno, The stompbox modeler looks like the most interesting of the lot for live performance. If it sounds good, it seems to have a lot of useful features. I've recently been getting the ug to get back to pedals, so I've contacted some smaller manufacturers to see if I can get some fun ones to try out. I'll hopefully be reporting on their usefulness with The Stick soon.

I you have a chance check out this guy: http://www.musicelectronix.com/The Submarine sounds incredible with bass. No idea how it would sound with the Stick, but I can tell you in about 3 months. I was wondering how a combo pedal of the Submarine for the bass side and the Stronghold for the melody side would sound.

Really the most interesting thing come out for years, to me, but I can't find any dealers here in my area to try it quietly at home. Too bad.
