I know this may be tough, but all I want in a headphone/practice amp is reverb! Don't need too many parameters, maybe just decay and mix.
Either Digital or Analog delay is a bit more involved than signal buffering/eq. There are some kits you can check out at

If I may ask, how did you get into building your own stuff? Any nice learning resources you can share? So far I have built a simple metronome, added extra knobs to childrens synths, built a horrible fuzz, and gotten started with a breadboard for pedal prototyping.
You've actually done really well. I've been into electronics for a long time, but only recently have gotten back into doing my own builds. I have a nice bipolar PSU kit done and I did a balance headphone amp, thus far. So you've actually gotten more stuff physically built than I have! I tend to design a lot more than I build...

This dude named beavis is my go to man for learning right now. His articles are really well suited for the begginger and explain things much clearer than most.

Good luck though, look forward to seeing how it goes. Oh yeah, I think the MM made a cool headphone amp pretty recently. Based on the stepabout preamp I think? I wonder if that is for sale?
I don't know, but if you're interested in headphone amps also check out the diy section of
