Black Magic just released a free app for iPhone users.

I use the actual Black Magic 4K cinema camera
but now you can have the same features for your iPhone.

Thanks , that Blackmagic app looks interesting. For now I use a slightly agricultural sync method to combine the Phone Video with good audio recorded into Logic via an Apogee Duet interface.

It goes like this :
I record the video & audio at the same time but at the start I slowly tap the Stick Strings and then start the song.
Quick mix of audio and I send it iMovie with the raw phone video.
I strip the phone audio from the video and delete it.
Zooming in I can line up the waveform peaks on the hand taps accurately enough to vision to sync video to audio.
Now I have iPhone Video with much better audio.
Then just trim ends.
Ends up looking like this below.

The RODE wireless PRO comes with cables for attaching the receiver unit to any cell phone. The kit comes with two wireless transmitters, so you can record excellent audio in full stereo directly to your cell phone.

These 32 bit float transmitters also store the recording internally, so that if the transmitter gets out of range, the audio is safely stored internally and can later be synced up with the video via time code.

With the free Black Magic phone app, this would be a great way to enhance the recording experience to a more professional level. The Black Magic app has timecode to help sync the audio tracks between multiple cameras. Having several cameras recording at the same time allows for different camera angles to be used during the final edit process. https://www.blackmagicdesign.com/produc ... agiccamera
