I was originally looking for a better (Digital Audio Workstation) audio mixer to work with Reaper.

I came across a post that stated that most digital and analog mixers are becoming obsolete.
They recommended the Stream Deck XL and one good fader for starting out.

I looked into the Stream Deck XL concept and was fascinated by what it can do.
It's basically a box that has 32 customizable macro buttons. Each button has an icon image to help identify the macro that you want to use.

The entire idea of what this tool can do to promote better workflow was new to me.
After watching a few youtube videos of how this device works with Reaper and DaVinci Resolve, I was sold on the idea and have ordered one to try out.

I can see where a device like this can be used for anything from home automation to controlling your favorite apps.

I prefer the mechanical feel of a real switch versus the touch screen system.
