I like this idea. It's affordable and easily customized.

You could wire your cabs with three inputs each and use that in lieu of building a pair of crossovers, possibly saving money in the process; however, you would not be free to use your cabs as normal cabs. That is why I suggest building the crossovers.

This particular device has an interesting feature that allows you to set up the speaker delays by using a microphone placed in key spots as a feedback system. Room acoustics play a big part in how well your cabs perform. I like the idea of future proofing a cab. If I ever wanted to upgrade the system, I wouldn't have to redesign the crossover and could recycle the driver components for an updated system. I'm not too concerned about the money end of things, as I like to invest in technology. It's all about finding the best sound. My Strymon Trio will fit into this stereo system very well.

I hope that it will serve you well, rather than reduce your future options. I should note that the speaker-delay function you mentioned is a common feature of such processors.

I'm working towards a wireless system.
I'd like to purchase individual amps for each driver.
DCX2496 audio signals will be sent to each powered cab.
PS: The second set of Eminence driver components arrived today.

Be very careful with your levels, including EQ.

I've decided to cover the rack and cabs with Panama Red Tolex.
The cabs will have black corners, handles and grill cover.
I bought these components in Canada.

Anybody using the Aspen Pittman Spacestation?

My first impressions:
  • There is not much low-frequency extension.
  • Its dispersion pattern might complicate sound reinforcement and piss off the sound engineer.
  • Loudness is relative, with regard to live sound, and 106dB is about what a 4x12 guitar cab loaded with Celestion Vintage 30s puts out—ignoring said speaker's notorious midrange spike—when fed one watt (hence, two watts to a 2x12 or four watts to a 1x12 with the same speaker).

I have a Spacestation and it works very well with the Stick if you pair it with stereo effects and a sub. I use a Line 6 Helix with it. It is perfect for small to medium sized venues. I have used it with no issues at Farmer’s Markets and small clubs. It also works well as a monitor.
