Yeah. The Mod Duo X. More knobs, 50 % more processor power etc. looks interesting indeed. Any thought regarding the X? Just seen the specs....

Duo X
I've only seen the specs and I have preordered a unit.
The DUO X is made to be a desktop unit and doesn't have any footswitches. It has different buttons and knobs, CV in/out and is aimed at the synth / electronic musician. Duo X does have more processing power and is needed for the synth engines. It is probably the most asked for upgrade for the current Duo and has been on the drawing board for a while to have upgrade cpu board made and is easy to do as the designers have made the hardware easily upgradable/hackable.

If I were going to get a unit today, I would still go with the current Duo. For me, the form factor and price make it more useful for what I do..., especially with the current bundle deal...

Dean dropped by yesterday and set me up with a Duo and footswitch. He ran me through the simple setup and editing process.

This is a great sounding pedal. Very capable on all fronts.

Last evening I put together a simple pedalboard with bass side running through a chorus and melody through a delay. Took about 3 minutes. Same patch on the Boss MD-500 and DD-500 took a lot longer. And I had to read the docs beforehand.

This morning I added a looper to the patch. Assigned the external footswitch to the looper functions. Works great.

This might just be the ultimate Stick pedal.

Just ordered a Mod Duo and a X. Will need the X in the studio so ordered both. Might sell one if it works with one of them with what I want to do. Might take longer than they thought to have a upgraded regular Duo with more CPU on the market. Will play alot of Stick this next year so I decided not to wait for a new upgraded regular model. So a regular one and the X incoming... And a foot switch.

Question about the mod duo and X.

Can you play run a midi device (keyboard) and chapman stick at the same time through one?
