Faulty cable?
Hi all I’m getting cut-out and crackling on the melody side when using the stereo cable. It works fine on mono. I was wondering whether this is something that happens commonly with the CBI, and what might have caused it, or whether something more serious with the stick (Railboard) might be responsible. If anyone can shed some light I’d be very grateful. Paul

Re: Faulty cable?
Could be you might need to cut a few inches off and resolder the RTS plug. I’ve had to do that. Worked great after that. Wires break over time or solder joints fail. If you wiggle the cable near the hack and it’s cutying in and out most likely it’s the cable

Re: Faulty cable?
I just learned from the Greg H R-Block video that when it's in Mono Mode and both volumes all the way up the pickups are routed to each output equally.
This leads me to believe that there may be something going on inside your R-Block...
If it were the cable then the issue wouldn't change when switching between Mono and Stereo.
I imagine it's a pretty simple fix. It may be a loose connection to the stereo/mono switch.
