Post Re: sfx SP-2 Stick Preamp
I have to feed the input into my Temple Audio board which would then need another 2 mono to TRS cable to go into the SP-2. It could be done, I'm not ruling it out - especially since it would be an always on pedal and could live on the bottom of the board.

More. More pedals please...

Post Re: sfx SP-2 Stick Preamp
Just want to add that I had one which I sold, but regretted it instantly and ended up buying another SP2 last year. A few thoughts (reinforcing much of what has already been said):
- As Gene pointed out, being able to use standard TRS cables is a big thing for me. Those stereo/dual mono cables are fragile and more prone to noise issues (my tech guy agrees, it's not just my imagination!).
- The stereo and mono outputs can be used concurrently, which adds to your routing options.
- As mentioned, there's enough gain on tap to make it ideal as a recording preamp. I found the StepABout insufficient in this respect.
- Max is a gem, one of those rare guys who answers every email full of my insipid questions without missing a beat.

Cheers,
Andy

Can the mono or stereo output work as a headphone jack? Anyone know?

I think someone in France already asked for this (Yannick maybe), but it's a custom work with an extra cost.

It works
It is not a high output with my headphones, but it works fine for practising.

This thing sounds really cool... I keep reading the rave reviews, but I notice they seem to be specifically regarding the Stickup. Anyone happen to use one with a PASV4? Thoughts? It stands to reason it would be a great addition, but curious if there's anyone who uses that combo.

I emailed Max. He says the SP2 is equally applicable to all the Stick pickups. I asked about a headphone jack: he said that's a custom job. The standard unit is £199 gbp and the custom unit with a headphone socket costs more

Hi - This is Max at [sfx].

Just a quick note to thank all the forum's members for the kind words about [sfx] and the SP2. It is a pleasure working with the Stick community all over the world.

A big thank you also to musicians like Andy Salvanos, Pascal Glanville, Jim Lampi and many others that make great music through the units I design and build.

Thanks again
Max [sfx]

Although it works with some headphones, it not something I recommend. The circuit is not designed to drive headphones.
