Thanks! I think something custom is maybe going to be the best route indeed.

Ok, sent him a custom shop request. Let's see what he thinks.

I got my SP2 custom from Max yesterday. - Pretty Cool 8-)
The prices are fair, when you take into accout, that the work is handmade, customshop and you get consulting from a pro.
Greetings Gerald

Nice! :-)
How long did you have to wait for it?

About 10 weeks.
To shorten the "consulting phase" it´s the best to make some drawings to make clear what you want

That's a pretty fast turnaround time for something custom!

But I think the time depends on the complexness of the device.
In my case it sounded tricky in the beginning, but it was an easy solution in the end. (I needed changes in the outputs for the stick and compatibility with E-Cello.)
Take your time to think what you want and probably what you want in the future.

Each time I had to deal with him, he suggested some mods to get a better device. He knows what he's doing, for sure.

Hi Geert, I think the answer to this is the Line 6 Helix. You don't need phantom power on both lines to power the pickup, so you plug the melody side into the mic input, and the bass side into the guitar input (using an XLR to TRS adapter).

Great onboard efects, two separate paths, output mixed. Everthing you asked for (and more)

I did some more tests today regarding the Railboard's phantom power behavior and actually it does require phantom power on both lines for both channels to be in active mode. If I turn the phantom power off on one line, the channel remains in active mode for a short period and then switches to passive mode on that line. This is why I was fooled into thinking that I got it working.

Can anyone confirm this is intended behavior? It does indeed seem like a better approach to only use phantom power from one line and simply power the entire R-Block from that.

The Pigtronix Infinity Looper does not provide phantom power and requires 1/4 inputs but does offer 2 independent signal chains for looping. Minus those first 2 requirements, one would think it was made for Stick. It only has MIDI in, so it's a one way ticket in that regards.

You could also check out the TX Helton license looper which has XLR in and out, but only a single loop. As soon as you want a second loop, you're looking at one of the double Boss RC pedals, Pigtronix infinity, boomerang or tcassalc@ca.rr.com electronics looper. The last two being quite big.

Big Sky is pretty bitchen. New Empress Reverb is going to give it a run for its money with availability of downloadingredients new sounds. The empress is going ton be big.

But I digress...

Ah, full bypass loop. Lol.

You could have the guys at Nose Pedal make it for you. They made me a custom pedal in a compact dynaluv@msn.com comp sized frame.

It has 2 switches and a knob. Both hands go through the peda monol. The pedal is placed after the compressor. It offers a full bypass loop for the melody side, a volume knob for the bass side and the second switch is a mute switch for both sides.

Nose are really big on customization. Give them a glance. Cheers Geert!
