Hey guys...

I've been using Mixbus for the last couple of months and like it a lot.

I know many people are looking for a good deal on a DAW and this one is good and they have the 32C version for only $99. Usually $299 I think...
It's got a great layout with EQ and compression on each channel. Then tape saturation on each bus. No need for third party plugins.

The cons of this is that it's not so smooth when using AU third-party plugins. They still work but the interface can be jerky...
An issue I have is that it maxes out on DSP quite frequently but that can be because I use a bunch of third party plugins... It may be just my computer (mac). I know people who use it with no issues with tons of tracks on their PC or Linux machines.
I have heard of people tracking in other DAWs then mixing in Mixbus.

Even with these setbacks I think it's a great DAW and really should be considered.

I just want to let people know of this great deal!

Harrison just posted their essentials plugin bundle for just $39.

Together with the Mixbus it will make a great DAW. Remember that Mixbus already comes with EQ, compression (multiple types), and tape saturation. The essentials bundle will round out the DAW with reverb, delay, Dyno-Mite, and Micro-Glide.

I got the bundle and looking forward to using it.

I'm sounding like a Harrison Mixbus sales guy but I really am not... Just like the platform and I know many are looking for a DAW.

It has a really great "mixer" section, emulates a console in a big way, and sounds great; I like the summing, and the workflow. But... I would not give up on Logic, Protools or Cubase just yet... lol then again, I am a die hard Logic fan...

Yeah (mixbus) it is a bit of a resource hog. Still, quite awesome for the price. And it works with Linux? Coool... Bye, bye Ardour...

A Linux based recording system that actually works oooooooo

I love Logic. I will probably use Logic for recording and editing. Drummer is a great tool in Logic too...

I don't know why I have such a hard time with the DSP peaking with Mixbus. I checked my CPU and it barely reaches 40% usage. I also upgraded to a SSD. Changing the buffer helped the most...
There is a version 4 coming out soon. I believe that if you buy the current version now you get version 4 update for free. I hope I get a discount...
