A huge "list of lists" of free VSTs broken down by type.

Tons of goodies...

That's a valuable link, tons of free stuff to check out out in all your free time. Interesting to see that mo st of the free drum related plug-ins are mostly for Windows.

BTW, this is an awesome thread, on behalf of people who have no idea on how to use a computer to make music (=me), thanks to all contributing to it.

Interestingly, I play guitar each week during a P&W Service. I use a Fractal AX8 for guitar tones, a 12.9" iPad Pro for my chord charts and a 9" iPad running Propellerhead Thor for synth pads. In effect, I'm using three computers every Sunday to make music. Even my monitor (Atomic CLR) has a DSP processor in it.

But like I always say, there's still no button to press that says "Create Good Music Now".

Gene, don't you do something IT-related for work? If so, I find this comment hard to believe.

Fot the next two days, you can get some very nice plug-ins cheaply and support a good cause at Soundtoys: https://www.soundtoys.com/hurricane-relief-2017/
I have used Little MicroShift and Little Radiator successfully when mixing our "Sproingg"-album, so I can recommend their plug-ins from experience.
