Hi Everyone, I thought I would start a new topic for people interested in expanding their DAW with free or cheap plugins. There are many great plugins out there that are cheap or free. Some companies offer cheap or free plugins for a limited time and I wish someone told me about them... I know many people check this forum very regularly... (I'm one of them...) |

Arturia is giving away the MiniFilter V for free. https://www.arturia.com/arturia-festive-gift It may be for just today... Doesn't say how long it will be available. It's a Moog filter plugin. Super cool! Don't miss! |

Izotope Vinyl (Free) I love that one.... As far as plugins go Logic ProX is pretty inclusive, and since I also have NI Komplete and the Waves Platinum Bundle I really don't go looking for stuff... hahaha Maybe I should investigate. |

Here is another plugin I'm going to get today... Only available for another 7 hours... $29!!!! Normally $149!! DRUM DIREKTOR FNK-4 http://www.thelooploft.com/collections/ ... ktor-fnk-4 A loop/drum sequencer/editor/programmer... etc.... Looks super powerful. I figure I can't complain for $29... EDIT: You will have to also download Kontakt Player from (FREE) from Native Instruments if you don't already have it... https://www.native-instruments.com/en/products/komplete/samplers/kontakt-5-player/free-download/ Then go through the whole process... It was kind of convoluted but I guess it's an instrument within a plugin platform... I can help if you have any problems... it wasn't exactly like the instructions that The Loop Loft gave... |

A bit of a necro-bump for this thread. Check out the free Variety of Sound bundle: https://varietyofsound.wordpress.com/downloads/ Includes one of the best chorus VSTs I've heard, as well as a great Tape Dynamics Simulator that won the KVR developer's challenge in 2009. These plugins are older, so they're all 32-bit. If you're using 64-bit Logic or something that doesn't support 32-bit VSTs, you'll have to put them in a 64-bit wrapper. If you're using Reaper, however, it will do this for you automatically. That bundle represents the wonderful, yet humble beginnings of this same developer who now makes software under the new name Tokyo Dawn Labs: http://www.tokyodawn.net/tokyo-dawn-labs/ Check out the Nova EQ: a dynamic EQ which also allows for multiband compression. The Kotelnikov free compressor and SlickEQ are also excellent. I've been experimenting with them recently. He also has "Genteleman's Editions" as more advanced versions of some of the plugins for reasonable prices, about 50 euros a piece. He just released the a new Limiter that looks mighty tempting to buy. |

It's nice they brought it back and repackaged it into a 64-bit VST3 version now as well. |
