Hmmmn, my interest steadily grows in this product...

Dean, any chance of you posting any more demo videos?

I'd really like to hear a tube-ish overdrive, the fuzz tones and what the pitch shifting options are, (Whammy?) Also, does it loop?

Yes, Yes and YES!

I can do some videos showing off some of the distortion sounds. There are so many... I can do a highlights... There is a distortion which is impossible to recreate in the physical world with analog components...

There are an array of pitch shifting plugins. They sound amazing! Downside is that they use quite a bit of DSP... I already have a very involved pedalboard (and I keep trying to simplify it...) so I don't have enough DSP left to add pitch-shifting... I own a Whammy DT and I still use that...

There is a looper as well! It's a very simple looper and as Gusset mentioned, it doesn't quantize or sync. BUT... that is going to happen very soon. There is a firmware update which will set a global BPM and looper, delays, and other beat based plugins can be synced. Still in the works but it's coming. It's something I've been pushing for...

I can make a simple recording on the looper and demonstrate different effects with that same loop!

I guess I have some work to do!

Dean can you include some ambient sounds and echos and delays if you are shooting a video?. Those interest me. I love the potential of this box .

It would be neat to see if we could create a delay where the pitch shift (Diatonic 3rds in Cmaj/Amin if possible?) is on the repeats?

Poor Dean hehehe

And actually, I like a Looper that is simple, y'know... records it like one played it sort of thing...

I'm just learning the ambient sounds stuff... but here is a pedalboard that someone made. You can listen to the sound sample they created...

Is this what you are thinking of?

I went to their Pedalboards page and typed in ambient and got a few interesting pedalboards.

Right now it's just direct sales from Berlin. They use DHL and it depends on how they feel at the time of the shipment on how fast you get it... It's all about saving cost. It seems that most people get them in about 2 weeks for the US/Canada. But sometime DHL decides to put it on a boat and it takes a little longer...

90 day money back guarantee! (Shipping not included...) But still!!...

The duo is what you want it to be. Something that isn't discussed much is the MIDI input and the sound generator plugins. However, the some of the synth engines, especially the sample base ones, use a lot of CPU. At NAMM they had a Godin guitar that has a Fishman Tripleplay built into it and had the dongle plugged directly into the Duo. I wonder if the tripleplay will work on my melody side...

Very interesting, I have a tripleplay on one of my guitars...

Say, Dean, since you were tooling around with the MOD folks for a few days at NAMM, did you get any insights into potential commercial plugins that might be in the pipeline for us simpletons, and potential release dates? :D :D :D

Do you mean the plugins that you will have to pay for?
There is talk about offering a platform for people/companies to sell plugins. No release dates given. They are backed up in vetting the current plugins in the backlog (about 400 of them) which are all free. They are doing some extreme vetting... (sorry I went there...)

There was a lot of attention to the Duo and I have no doubt it will be around for a while. It's such a unique but totally open platform that so much is possible...
