I use Ubuntu Studio as a base, which I am using to post this, with the KXStudio repositories added. I plan to get deep into such things once I have replaced my mixer with a Linux-compatible audio interface (for financial reasons).

MOD DUO is basically consistent with all of this, they just don't seem to recognize that promoting this aspect is worth doing, so you and others didn't realize what a stand-out project this is.

This is the part I'm growing into and realizing.
It's like they tricked me into loving an amazing piece of gear (which it is) but then exposed me to an even bigger reality out there... :o

Thanks Robstafarian! Let's keep this string about the MOD DUO.
At this point I'm inundated with just getting my sounds and playing my NS/Stick and life, work, family, etc... I'm trying to focus the time I do have for music to playing. It sounds like there is a way bigger world out there that I am just not ready to explore right now... is there a website or other forum for people like me to learn more about it?

Cool story...

So I have a Novation Circuit on my pedalboard... (I know it's a strange thing to have on there but I play along to it like a drum machine and I have a self imposed rule that everything must fit on my Lyt Pedalboard 32)
I want to be able to start/stop it from a footswitch. My Keith McMillen SoftStep doesn't send the right signal so I put it out to the MOD DUO forum. Here is the string I started there: https://forum.moddevices.com/t/plugin-idea-start-stop-real-time-midi-message-plug-in/432?u=skydiver

A programmer replied with a plugin he had already created!
I still have to try it out and make sure it works for me but it's so cool that I can put an idea out there and voila! I have a solution. :o

I've been putting out idea after idea and getting great responses from programmers and the MOD team.

Not that I know of, though that is probably because it has been almost 15 years since I started down this road.

Are there any MOD DUO's left to buy? The website suggests it's all over. Any news of another batch?

The website is pretty confusing... There is a contact link hidden...

You can shoot them an email to see if they have any more. I know they are just finishing a batch of units and may have some extras.

Email is contact@moddevices.com

Shoot them an email and see if there are any units available.
