Well sort of, hahah they seem to crop up from time to time... What the heck, let's just make THIS thread the pedalboard showcase! My stuff is not really on a board; 2 Boss GT100's and a Roland GR55 if I want/need... |

I could really build a pretty ridiculous board if I wanted to; I have a LOT of stomp-boxes and various rack-mount processors, but at the end of the day, each of these boxes gives me what I want, and simplifies my life. I just wanna play, you know? 1) Every Effect known to man, available on both sides - Check! 2) A Looper for each side - Check! 3) An effects loop for those effects NOT known to man that I may want to insert - Check! 4) The flexibility to record direct, go to an amp, or PA, or computer interface - Check! 5) Not too much of a wiring mess. Simple! - Check! 6) MIDI so that stuff switches as desired (No tapdance) - Check! 7) Decent tone. I like it. - Check! 8) Not a bunch of crap to haul around. Simple. - Check! 9) Big letters and bright lights for the slow kids (me) - Check! |

So, after 9 months of just sounding like I play with boxing gloves on i'm starting to feel like i'm making progress. Now i am starting to get interested in some toys to go with the Stick, pedals, perhaps a guitar synth. But I am going to go slow, I don't feel I deserve to go to crazy on 'stuff' yet because I really can't play the thing properly yet but I particularly like Jason's comment on a looper as a practice tool as well as a performance vehicle - and I am using that comment to justify getting one! So, some dumb questions from a noob..... Do I just put my melody side cable from my Stick into a pedal, pedal into a looper, looper into the amp and it all works like clockwork? Do I need a looper for both sides or can I put both Melody and Bass into one (i've just got a great deal on a Boss RC30 - I should have read about it before agreeing I guess) And finally.... does ANY guitar pedal work on a Stick, or there some manufacturers I should avoid? |

in general looper should be last (you can put rvrb before or after the looper -just try) you don't need two loopers if your looper has stereo input like Boss Rc-3, RC-30, RC-300 just keep in mind that the looper will record both sides i.e. ypou can't play bass part and record just the melody or vice versa |
