You can turn off the side speaker and have a summed mono signal. There is also a subwoofer output that is a summed mono signal as well.

I used the speaker at a gig for the first time last week and it was great. I was playing a Farmer's Market and was set up in an outdoor pavilion. They made an exception by letting me use an amp so I decided not to bring the subwoofer. The dispersion of sound worked very well at low volumes and I could be heard without being overpowering. I ran the Line Helix directly into the speaker.

Next week I will try it at a gig for the first time with the subwoofer....

Thanks Gene! The debut with the sub will be this weekend. I used the speaker for keys only for a gig at the Rainbow Room today at 30 Rockefeller Center in NYC. It did great - the rest of the band commented that they could actually hear me.
