Post Amsterdam (actually Wormer)
Well I guess someone has to take the plunge here ;)

Last week-end, I attended the seminar hosted by Ron Baggerman in Holland. It was my third seminar in the Netherlands and we had a blast. There were gig nights on friday and saturday, with masters and students playing.

The club was small and not really packed, but the atmosphere was nicely laid back and the sound just excellent. For yours truly, there were two very special moments.

On friday night I played "In the dutch mountains" (by dutch band The Nits) at the end of my set and since this song is very well known down there, the audience filled all the breaks, shouting "Mountains!" perfectly on cue.

Saturday night provided a big treat with Jim Lampi joining in for Daniel Lanois' "Jolie Louise". What a thrill to play with the man who turned me on singing. :)

Sounds like a great couple of nights Olivier! Congrats.

I like both Jim's and your styles of playing and singing.
