Hey all. This is not a stick Gig but I thought I would post this. I have two shows coming up. Over 150 hours of work went into this, arranging 15 tunes , (9 original and 6 standards) for 2 trumpets, 2 trombones three saxes and piano, bass and drums. Its a mix of jazz and other genres. Something for everyone. Im planning on broadcasting live on Facebook live but have never done this. I assume I just let people know and they just go to facebook and look for the video. If there is a way to do a link I have no clue how to do this. The gigs are at 2- 5 pm Eastern time (Toronto time) Feb 11th from Guleph . The second one is Feb 16th Live from The Jazz Room In Waterloo at 830-1130. Id love if you had a bit of time to check in and watch a bit or all if you have the time. Im hoping the sound sounds good. Im renting some mics and trying some things on the Feb 11th gig. Hopefully the sound will be decent, This will be just room mics. The Feb 16th should be a direct off the board feed so that would sound better I hope. If you friend me on Facebook look for Rob Gellner and Ill confirm you as a friend. A lot of you are already on my facebook so you should be able to watch. Again if there is a better way to let people know or a way to get a link and share it let me know. Rodrigo did his gig live which was so cool to watch that He inspired me to try the same thing. Hope you can all tune in and watch. Thanks Rob |

Just a bump to promote my show. Ive never posted a live event on Facebook so if you want to see my tentet tune in at 2-5pm Toronto time. If there is a better way to do this let me know. ( Ie sending out a link) I am not computer savvy when it comes to doing promotional stuff. |

Thanks Steve. It went ok. Some hiccups. But we got thru it all. It was fun posting the show live. This was a rehearsal in essentially. Now I can watch it and take notes for what I need to change for Friday. I think it’s cool that someone could stop in for a few minutes and catch a tune or the whole show. I’d be happy to watch a live show anyone were to post. Rodrigo s was the inspiration to do this. Facebook live was the first time going live. I rented a pair of rode NT5 mic’s Thur a focusrite interface into an iris HD 2 into my iPad. The mic’s were just pointed at the band from 20 feet away. Not bad for sound.. Friday the sound guy at the venue will go direct from the board to the iris HD so will see how that sounds. Hoping sometime to catch more live stick shows like Rodrigo’s . Rob |

The one coming up this Friday Im hoping will sound even better as it should be the audio feed off the sound board. I spent over a 150 hours writing all the charts. Im glad you like the arrangments. For the most part I was happy. There were a couple of rough spots but that was to be expected. Glad you gave me the idea. lol Rob |
