Post Stick Talk #2
Hi Stick friends,

Here is Stick Talk #2. In this bit, I share my arrangement of the second part of Bach's Minuet No.2 in G Major.

Much of this section is in E Minor, the relative minor.

Next week, we'll put it together and have a go at the whole thing. Be sure to also check out Tap in Time's episode No. 5 which is a fun discussion about playing Bach on the Chapman Stick. Cheers - Gene.

Your community building is legendary. I have been practicing this since last week, but I better get a move on.

Hey Gene you are right it is a G with D in the bass. Not a Dsus. It was late at night when I did the analysis. Love these videos. I’ve been working on this one too as you’ve inspired me to learn it. I hate the bass part that goes DEF#DEF#. Can’t get it to sound super clean.

Thanks RGel! I would love to learn that second invention when you're ready to dig that one up. Let me know if we could feature that!

Hey there friends,

Any chance someone can post the link to episode #1 here, it will make it easier to find in future.

Love the classical direction, Bach is so good.

Long live the electric clavichord...

Cheers

Me too Michael, thanks so much! I would love to hear it on the Alto. Would that be in C relative to the tuning you are using?
