Post Stick Talk
Hi friends, I've put together a video on learning Bach's Minuet No.2 in Ga Major. I hope that you like it.

Really enjoyed this. I might give er a go. It’s not a terribly hard looking one. When there are a lot of similar bars it helps get it down. Let see what happens when I try it though. Lol can’t wait for the next episode. You are a great host Gene.

Great instructional video. I like your method of learning section by section, small bite-sized parts that can be memorized.

Gene, that was great! Nice production value, also- audio, video, the screen splits, all of it. Nice trick with your face on one side and ALL of the fret board on the other, just wanted to give props for that- usually you get to see the board but not the speaker's face, or if you can see the speaker's face you miss a lot of what the right hand is doing. You've solved that!

This wasn't on my list of pieces to learn...until about 3 minutes ago. Keep on rockin' the Stick Talk!

Hi GP.

So good to see your face again brother. Sorry to be a pedant, but why is the G on the "+" of 2 in the second bar written up the octave but played as a B on the way back down? I've noticed this on all recordings and a quick Google images search for this sheet music.

Lots o Bruv Luv.

OH man, you are spot on Rad. Generally Claire and Vic help me sus out these oversights, but leave it to me ol to uncover this bit...!

WHAT are we talking about? Here it is...

At 4:08, the bass hand plays an ascending line, G ' A, G B D A, G ' A

I am playing it G ' A, G B D B, G ' A

This puts a B in the bass against the G in the melody. While this could work, putting on the A is better voice leading as that is the V of V that was popular back in the day - very easy on the ears.

I may have to do the video again. But first, a quick thank you to Jayesskerr, Jzzb8ovn, Markussz, Gusset, meugel, bachdois and of course, the thunder from down under Stickrad. I am so grateful to share this music on this instrument with this group - a pleasure and an honor.

Cheers and happy Tuesday.
