:( Missing Free Hands Friday terribly. Will there be another episode? Sometime this year? Con anticipaciĆ³n mucha.

BTW, I would love to see an entire episode on the modal offset system, possibly featuring Emmett.

Hi Alberto, thanks so much for this post. I will have something to share this Friday.

I will also inquire with Emmett on whether we can do a segment on the offset modal system. It is fascinating to say the least.

gracias por su respuesta. Thank you for your response Gene. This is kinda belated because I was away from my computer for the first half of April. was providing service at a Vipassana meditation retreat at another part of the country.

Hope there will be another episode soon :?: :D

Thanks Alberto and Gene, for suggesting and offering to feature my "OMS" integrated system of "offset modes on FHF (another Free Friday for all Hands).

I don't visualize musical sound very well, and can write "lead sheet" notation better than to read it. But I am a visual specialist as are most of us, hence the urge to create my triple and quad "Wheel" charts portraying the chromatic scale and all harmonic relationships within.

As a bow to conventions (which I usually try to avoid), I've reversed the direction of pitch from counter-clockwise starting from the left "9 o'clock" position, as on horoscope charts, to clockwise starting from the 12 o'clock position (as on a clock).

The inner "Wheel" shows the pentatonic scales with all note relationships melodic and harmonic. The next outer Wheel expands to the very familiar Greek "church modes", adding two notes to the pentatonic and forming the first tritone. This is followed by the "Offset Modal System" on the 3rd Wheel and a very exotic "Double Offset" system on the outermost Wheel.

I've drawn such a new "clocked" chart with the four concentric "Wheels" and you'd be the first to see it (in action) on Gene's Google Hangouts Q&A forum.
