Excellent. Perhaps we'll review all the songs Emmett outlines in Free Hands - that would be a great compilation album...

Autumn Leaves
Joy of Man's Desiring
Yesterday
Lover Man
Whiter Shade of Pale
Stella by Starlight

Post Re: Free Hands Friday #67 - Song Learn "Yesterday"
This Friday, as in today, at 12pm PST. Which is in one hour.

Kevin is going to walk us through "Yesterday". It would be good to talk about some arranging techniques and possibly some thoughts on live performance. We can all chip in there.

on that note, Dbro's most recent video was rad - I loved the way he handled that performance. I think drawing on that most recent experience would be cool to reflect on and I am hopeful he will be able to join us.

Hope to see you in an hour. :D

Hi Simon! Thanks for the reminder - I have marked the video as published so if you are subscribed to the site, you should get a notification. But just in case you aren't, here is a link!

What a fantastic session! So inspired seeing Kevin get out there and do his thing. I am hoping to loop back through this session and pick through the parts as Beatles tunes are a great add to any setlist.

Thanks so much to all that attended - we had great questions and comments. We all agreed that the "Song - Learn" topic is a good one. Even better of course is a lesson with Greg, Steve, Dave or Bob. Do not discount the value in 1:1 time with a published, professional musician.

That said, I am hoping to have another Song Learn session on Friday, November 20 that will have take us through the next 2 weeks as we'll be taking the next Friday off for the Thanksgiving holidays here in the states.

Comments, questions and banana cream pies all welcome. Cheers, happy Monday.
