Is Tear Jay a reference to Terje Rypdal? I've not orderred (yet) the album, but I may vote for that one if this is the case.

Queequeg had a really cool groove to it and I really loved the way Ahab's Release wrapped it all up. Nice effort all the way around and really cool that you captured these improvisations in both audio and video form. I know you're a big fan of John's trumpet playing in any case. It would be really fun to see that magic happen, like you said, lots of sound and space. A bit of a digression on the album - very creative and fun to listen to! That was my favorite track, seared takes a close second. |
