The CD went right into my Car CD player for deep commute listening. I will pull out the liner notes and solve the mystery!

Is Tear Jay a reference to Terje Rypdal? I've not orderred (yet) the album, but I may vote for that one if this is the case.

Indeed, Bruno, Brian and I are both huge Rypdal fans...

Far be it from me to go with the flow but I'll add a Tear Jay vote. Certainly there are several stand outs on this record though. Queequeg had a really cool groove to it and I really loved the way Ahab's Release wrapped it all up. Nice effort all the way around and really cool that you captured these improvisations in both audio and video form.
Thanks, Glenn,

I know you're a big fan of John's trumpet playing in any case. The melodies he comes up with on the spot are really memorable to me. He has a way of making improvised music sound very composed.

thanks Gene

That track would be good just for the curiosity factor alone, so many odd sounds coming out, not just from me...

It would be really fun to see that magic happen, like you said, lots of sound and space. A bit of a digression on the album - very creative and fun to listen to!

That was my favorite track, seared takes a close second.

Thanks to all who have voted so far.

"Tear Jay" is in the lead but only by one vote... I'll probably edit it this weekend, so...cast your vote in the next couple of days...
