not on the list - tuning based on mirrored 4ths. 8 melody strings in fourths, 4 bass strings in 4ths going up with the groups separated by a 5th - then all flattened a half step. (maybe not on the list for a reason!!!)

I’ve read somewhere that you can tune a 10-string stick in 6 melody + 4 bass, but I’ve not yet seen it nor heard it. I’d guess the melody would be in 4ths B E A D G C and the bass in 5ths C G D A... Anybody knows how the tuning goes? Can it be done in any stick?

10 grand DMR, 12 grand classic, Alto stick alto.

I'm in over my head for sure. I guess once i figure out where all the notes are on the fretboard i should be able to play rhem all to some extent. The theory is all basically the same, its just finger positioning.

DMR 10 grand was my first. I slapped it a lot. I also tried to learn where my notes are. I make noise on the stick, not pretty music like most stick players, but its improv feeling music to me. I dont care if any one else likes it. I am my own worst critic anyway.

I had a 12 grand dmr, which i recently had changed to classic. This stick is making me play more, conservatively, and making me have a lighter touch, and cleaner chords.
I just bought an alto with alto tuning, which just threw my whole stick knowledge out the window, but its really just the melody side. This is the stick that i will try alternate tunings on for sure. Although not ready to take on mirrored 4ths, as this is a completely different concept. Thinking about a dadf#a or dadga tuning on melody or something similar, maybe dropping one of the bass sides also.

Awesome stuff. Mind bender.
