Is there anyone with a stick somewhere in the Midwest?
I am considering purchasing a Chapman Stick and would like to know if there is anyone in the Midwestern area who has one, that I could visit and physically see the stick. I am in the northwest corner of Iowa, and a new member. If there are any seminars coming up in this area, I would also appreciate knowing that. Thanks....

I'm in Cedar Rapids and have a graphite, 10 String grand. I'd be happy to show it to you. Very cool instrument. This forum will give you all the advice you need. I'm not aware of any seminars "near" us this year.
Good luck,
Don

Hello Don - I wanted to respond to you but I am brand new at this site and don't know my way around yet. I did send email as a reply but not sure where it went, to you or to stickist.
Please bear with me. Thanks.

I'm a little farther away in the Madison, WI area. I'd be happy to meet with you if you ever get this way.

Please bear with me. Thanks. It went to my email since you responded to an email notification of "Notify me when a reply is posted" as opposed to emailing the person. I responded to your email and hopefully steered you in the right direction. Welcome to the community.

Hope it's OK if I piggy-back this, I'm in Central IL, by Peoria and would like to find more members in the area as well. Still deciding what I want to order.

I'm in the Southern portion of Illinois. So far south that most of the state thinks we're Kentuckians. Think Carbondale, and you are in the neighborhood. (Actually, I live in Marion). I have been playing the Stick since 2004, and like to think that I'm okay. I have a 10 string with PASV 4, and a 12 string w/Stickup. If you are ever in the area, give me a yell.
