Post Soon to be stick owner I hope
Greetings to everyone on the forum. My name is Larry. I'm a long time guitarist, short-time bassist who has had a fascination with the Chapman stick since seeing Tony Levin playing with King Crimson. I think I'll be ordering a 10-string railboard as I've been in obsession mode for the past few weeks, reading and watching all things stick related. I've sent off some questions to Cambria in support, and it's been several days with no response. Is this normal?

Better to call if you want an instant response. All good things take time. Patience is a large part of playing, and learning the Stick. Plant the seed, nurture, and watch it grow.

Yeah, it's a small shop. Boaz said it all - you are among friends here, feel free to grieve, gripe and grind away.

I'd rather have my teeth drilled than wait for my first Stick. Hates the StickWait...

Over the years, I've found that it is best to call. If you call on a day that Cambria isn't in the office, call back when she returns. I like working with Cambria, but sometimes I need to hold back so I don't make a pest of myself by calling too much. If I have an estimate for a stick completion date, I add an extra month or two after the ECD and call Cambria for an update. I don't have the same urgency as you, since I have a few sticks to play during the wait. I've also used the ordering template when ordering instruments. That way when I call Cambria has an idea of what I need...shortens the conversation.

Congrats on your purchase!
