I've been a member of Stickist in what seems like a former life, I forget the user name. It's time to return.

I've always been a musician. I've played a wide variety of instruments in my youth, but settled on piano and trumpet. In high school, I picked up the bass and continued with the trumpet in music school. I found it much easier to find gigs on bass, and consider myself to be primarily a bassist. I was already a Peter Gabriel fan when my first bass teacher told me about Tony Levin and that amazing sound on certain tunes like I Don't Remember, and Shock The Monkey. It didn't take me long to find the albums Discipline and Beat and I was hooked. I bought my first stick in '91 from the Rochester House of Guitars - #205. I currently play a Railboard.

Sounds like you really took advantage of your musical and instrument education.your gifted and well grounded in a instrument that's been approached in a variety of ways.
