Thanks for all the replies and helpful advise guys. I think I'm going to skip the truss rod. The neck is plenty thick and it was strung up with bass strings when I got it. I'm fairly confident it will not be an issue with light gauge strings. Besides, this is all an experiment really. Trying to take an unplayable copy stick and make a semblance of a tapper out of it! My goal is really just a personal challenge to see what I can do . . Then move on to a real Chapman Stick when finances allow. I will start a build thread later tonight. |
