Hi just joined, fledgling non-Stick tapper here (just got a Kevin Siebold 10 string tapper). Trying to get a handle on this thing. :)

Standard Classic tuning for now, may venture out to alternate tunings once I get a better grasp on this.

Welcome!
What part of NY State are you located?
I went to Ithaca for college and my wife is from the area.

Near Binghamton. I actually prefer Ithaca, much nicer town. :)

Sweet!
My brother in law is in Binghamton. I don't get over there that much... but if I do we should get together.

Well, my first clumsy attempt at a tune on this thing. Irish harp tune, Sheebeg and Sheemore by Turlough O'Carolan, my crappy arrangement from a John Morris guitar arrangement. I cheated and recorded the melody and bass separately as two tracks - as a practice exercise so I can understand the "interleave" and learn to play them together (and eventually add more missing notes maybe). Some day perhaps. Only 2 weeks, but still, awkward and clumsy...

Jeers and brickbats welcome. (What is a brickbat, anyway?)

Well done!!! That's the spirit. .... I really wish you had a proper stick. Sticks are just set up for razor thin action and playability. I'm in Connecticut if you want to try one out, let me know..... day trip???
