Hello again, dear friends, I have been recuperating after a long journey. A second round of testing my invention revealed a problem which significantly limits its commercial viability, and I have therefore deferred working on my invention indefinitely. I will keep a guitar which has my invention, just in case a solution presents itself.

I reconnected with Gene about a month ago, and I have been thinking Stick thoughts ever since. Some research regarding the Grand Railboard led me to Emmett's mention of the RG12 in a discussion here, and three things became readily apparent:

1. I have been ignoring how much I miss my Stick, for years.
2. The RG12 seems to be the ideal way forward.
3. I am late returning to this forum, even by my own standard.

Hugs all around, I have a lot of reading to do. First, a necro!


EDIT: Due to Emmett's advice, I have decided to aim for a bamboo Alto Stick.

Thanks dude, you have come to mind frequently because…you see…I cannot grow my fro anymore. Honestly, it is time to shave my head again. If we ever meet, even just via Skype, I will show you the baldness which has replaced this (the height of my fro, several years ago):

On Bamboo Alto's , I have one , & I love it!

On Fro's , my 16 year old son has one ! Not sure where he got all the curls from, but his name Alfie at school quickly became Alfro. Take care.

Having stayed up all night, I have caught up with all of the thread alerts I missed during my hiatus. It really bothers me that I was not available to answer gear questions, though that is probably exaggerated by my lack of sleep.
