Several years ago, at 52 years old, I got interested in playing an instrument. I played the piano, poorly, as a child, but what the heck. Marcodi's Harpejji, played a major part in a dream I had so I dove into that. I bought one, and taught myself to play. I even posted 3 videos of me playing some Fleetwood Mac tunes within a year. A month or so ago I was introduced to the Stick through a video o Mark White. It was so cool I sold my Harpejji back to Marcodi, and used the money to buy this Stick.
OMG! You guys (those who have posted videos on Youtube, etc) have made it look SO easy. Your fingers fly up and down the fretboard, and mine are like novice Twister players playing in mud. It only arrived last night, so my journey is just beginning, but I see I have my work cut out for me. I have a feeling it'll be a little longer before I'm posting any videos.
Thanks for reading. Back to practicing. Brian

Congratulations!
But it doesn't really exist in the cyber world till you post pictures, and those of us who are still waiting live vicariously through the posts of those who already have theirs so, post pictures!

Hey man, it IS a challenge, but very worthwhile... Can't wait to see videos and clips of you playing!
Don't forget to let the cat in at 2am in the morning.
Or shower, eat, that stuff.
I love saying this, in case everyone here was wondering, because it's true. You will become lost in the instrument. Lost as in a "lost in paradise" kind of way, but with a little less spending money and a lot of questions.

Brian, I didn't seriously start to get into the Stick until I was 52 (I am now 58) so just have fun. I don't play nearly as well as even some of the cats that post videos that have been playing a year but I sure as Hell have fun making sounds on it. And I often forget to sleep and eat but I do shower because my armpits are too close to my nose.

Here's my first pick. Out of the box and on it's favorite stand. Notice the two Stevie's in the background ready to sing.

...it's only a question of the point of view... ...look at the difference of whhat you can see in a mirror, and what is visible in a video....
...and don't forget: take your time and just be yourself....

Hey Brian, welcome aboard. I guarantee it will be a journey worth doing and remember, everything about the stick is backed up by logic. When you have any doubts, just ask here: somebody will have an answer waiting for you. Congrats Rodrigo
