Hi all,

Re-registered on the site, as I can't actually remember if I have done before and if I did it was early on. Decided it's about time to seek some help(!) and get playing again, as it's 16 years since my last live gig and I haven't really played since. Pretty much starting again and unpacked my Stick to have a noodle around with my brother-in-law and his guitars.

So, there's noisy pots on my 10 string, Ironwood, serial 1859, twin truss rods, no adjustable bridge... and lots of fret buzz and the three frets on the melody side at the top by the dampener don't seem to be sounding at all.

Wondered if anyone would have any advice about cleaning, or anyone in the UK who could strip the pickups down for a service? It could do with some care and I don't know where to start. (Goes off to check FAQs...)

Glad you decided you "couldn't get of the horse once you've started".

Sounds like a job or SE, possibly too many things wrong with it to do a reno your own..?

I know you live in the UK but it sounds like you'd be best suited sending your Stick back to Emmett for some surgery.
