Re: Stick envy self help group while I wait for my stick... Jdt.! Use your time to map out what you think you want to bring to the Stick world. ..this helped me keep my mind occupied while I waited.  I share your pain, I know what it can be like. Dream big and perhaps make a list of musical elements and approaches that you might be able to sustain, regardless of your current newbie status. In time the Stick (force) will be strong with you.

Re: Stick envy self help group while I wait for my stick... Do what I did: spend your pre-Stick time learning about gear. You will get so caught up with the infinitely large collection of building blocks that you will have a Stick before you can decide whether or not you want to sidechain an optical compressor. Besides, you will be able to make valuable contributions while you still suck...take it from me!

Re: Stick envy self help group while I wait for my stick... I don't have a stick yet so I'll post here. Luckily for me I have been able to set my eight string guitar up like a kind of stick with five strings on the melody side tuned in fourths and three strings on the bass side in inverted 5ths so I can practice two hand independence. I expect to be able to play Green sleeves as soon as my stick arrives.

Re: Stick envy self help group while I wait for my stick... I had a dream. In it my inbox had an email from Cambria and I was thinking "oh boy, this is it, my stick is ready!". Turns out the email was for something else. And of course it was all a dream. No actual email in my non-dream inbox.
The only mind altering element in all this is the Stick. It's messing with my head!
