Post My Old Stick.
I traded my 12 string stick for this "graphite?" 10 string. When I moved to Asia, I was already bringing a lot of stuff and couldn't bring it with me due to funds. I've been gone for ten years and haven't even looked at it in all that time. Now it's back in my hands. The "C" note indicators are just stickers from an office supply store.

That's a polycarbonate Stick. I had #1900 for many years. They are often mistaken for graphite. A lot of great music has been made on those old polys, including some of Greg Howard's recordings.

Something was gnawing at the back of my mind that graphite had to be wrong. Thanks for the info.

Even after 10 years it was still perfectly in tune but the 1st string had broken in that time. There were two extra sets of light strings in the case so I gave it my new tuning on the bass side. The light strings sound too squirrely though.

Stick's web site shows that truss rods were added in '78, which were not adjustable. The first adjustable truss rods came out in '89, for hardwood instruments. I don't know what those screws on the back are for, but I don't think they're truss screws.
Very cool to see that instrument resurface for you! That's awesome.

I think you can set the truss rod with those screws, but Greg will tell ;)

I might be totally off here now and I should really know since I´ve had one for around four years but..... I actually think they are. Mine was from -87 and I do recall that the truss was at least "semi adjustable", or what to call it. I never had to adjust mine but if I don´t recall everything wrong it was indeed adjustable. As someone told me back then.....: -"It´s not easy but it´s possible". Or something like that..... Then, again, it was a long (!!) time ago and I might remember things wrong....
