Post How to hang your Stick from the wall
Here's some pics of how I store my Stick. I think all my guitars and Stick are things of beauty, and should be displayed while not being played. Plus, it's always right there. I welded the brackets up from some scrap steel I had layin' around. I did all the bending in a bench vise with a ball peen hammer and vise grips, and all the welding with a little Lincoln 125plus MIG welder. Their both mounted into the 2x4 stud in the wall. You do not want to mount this into dry wall. Find a 2x4 and let it carry the load, and use screws that are long enough to give you at least 1/2" into the 2x4.

Dude at first I thought your Stick was just resting on your amp!......til I looked down...... shit I wish I could weld...

Thats a good rig man. I'd be inclined to put a foam wrap around the top attach point though...

Nice!
cheers,
kev

ps.
that wallboard's emitting a nice Ron Burgandy feel....

Wow...number 406...I guess this stick is coming from the 70's...or early 80's.

Yes, from the mid-70's, probably 1976 or 1977.

I thought about doing this, but the back rests on the tuners and the front catch rests on the strings where no one would ever touch them. The metal of the bracket (mild steel) is much softer than the metal of the tuners (chrome plated steel) or the strings (nickel plated alloy steel), so there's no way the instrument could be damaged.

Pretty interesting hook. Did you make it yourself? Some kind of caoutchouc or india-rubber?
