I'm happy to announce that I was able to get not just one, but TWO Chapman Sticks fromJRJ, a graphite with dot inlays and EMG pickups, and a bamboo with linear inlays and a stickup! I've wanted a stick for about 10 years, so life really is rad right now.



I want to publicly thank JRJ for showing me the stick in person last year, and for setting up both the sticks I bought so beautifully.

I feel like I've finally arrived.

Very nice! why two Sticks at once? Curious which one you prefer.
As a side question; what is the advantage of the linear inlays over the dots? I prefer the looks of the dots.

And some MIDI to boot. Wow, looking good.

JRJ and I traded Sticks back in 2010 - still my favorite!

So the graphite is in deep baritone, and the bamboo is matched reciprocal. Tuning wise, I'm still deciding which I like better, although I feel more compelled to tao both sides of the instrument with one hand in matched reciprocal for some reason.

Eating and sleeping are definitely going to be an issue now!

eating and sleeping...earlier i was playing Blondie, then stopped to eat. now it's 2:17am, im still on this website and i hafta be up@ 6 and do a double in the kitchen. NOT ENOUGH HOURS IN THE DAY!!!
