 Railboard: Distance to the "Keel"?

Post Railboard: Distance to the "Keel"?
How far is it from the edge of the Railboard's fingerboard to the "keel" on the back? I have always thought that the "keel" would be wonderful for dealing with my spasticity, but I just realized that it would actually be terrible if my 2.5 inch thumbs are forced into an awkward position due to said distance.
