HIGH HIGH PRAISE for the ACTV-2
My Goodness how I love this pickup. You can plug it into ANYTHING and it sounds great.
Besides that the melody side is THE best tone by far IMHO.
I love the bass on the PASV 4 and Stickup but Man O man If I could only have one pickup it would hands down be the ACTV-2.
Love, Love Love that pickup

Re: HIGH HIGH PRAISE for the ACTV-2
Honestly, this conversation never gets old! I started on a stickup, moved to the Pasv-4 and loved both. Now I have an actv2 (don't forget the r-block). If I had a second instrument also tuned to full Baritone tuning, it would be very difficult to choose between the stickup or the pasv4.

Yep, I'll never understand so many guitar players' hate for EMG pickups or active pickups/electronics in general. I'd use them everywhere if I could

Brett, have only the experience of my ACTV-2 p/up so far, i thought it sounded great when plugged into my bass amp/cab, but I recently took a leaf out of Greg's book and hooked the melody side up to my Evil Robot tube combo -wow, what a sound, this p/up loves valves in a big way!

-Marc- Is that a US production hand-wired Evil Robot, or the PCB-based EVR-C30? Did your purchase have anything to do with Chappers and the Captain?

Hi Rob, it's the PCB based model, I got it from Andertons here in the UK after seeing Chappers demonstrating it. Took it for a test drive and fell in love with it!
