I sometimes use a Schiek model number 2006 weight lifting belt (used when I was training up for BJJ).

When used for the 12 string Graphite Grand Stick the belt will not sag. You can hang the stick hook into the Velcro strap or on the belt itself.

This is a great thread. I presently have a nylon tool belt, about 3 inches wide. It has a tendency to sag. While it doesn't yet pose a problem, I think I'll look into a more solid support.

Since I got my first Stick, almost three years ago, I have not been using any of my comfortable soft wool belts. Now I'm a boring person always wearing the same leather belt.

I also use a weightlifting belt and find it the most comfortable

Clever! May increase lifetime of stomp pedals. Guess you anchor it to the ceiling then? :-) (sorry, couldn't resist a joke...)

Cliff

I also use this kind of belt and my back is more stable. I adjust it higher than a normal belt...better for me.

Me too. I have it about at navel height. My back is happy and the Stick is always at the same level regardless of what I wear... or don't wear.
Only thing I don't like is that it is mercyless in pointing out my increasing belly size... I used to be on the third hole, now it's a squeeze at the second.
Dang!

P.S. one tip if you have it in a gig bag like me: make sure the buckle is away from the instrument or you'll get it scratched easily (or "reliced" as the say nowadays).

You're not getting bigger. The belt has probably gotten wet at some point, and over time it's been shrinking, that's all.

That is very sweet of you and much appreciated, but unfortunately the belt is not the only pointer
Anyway, I feel that finding a belt that works for you makes a huge difference: it helps immensely in aiding your muscle memory motions.
