Getting Back to the Stick.... Graphite?
Howdy folks; It's been a while since I've posted here. I sold my 10 string stick about 2 years ago (mistake) and now I'm planning to get another one. Know that line in the song that goes... "...you don't know what you've got till it's gone.." yea, that about covers it! . I absolutely LOVED the graphite 10 string I had. Are graphite 10 strings still available? I see it's still a choice on the order page but I heard an ugly rumor that they are no longer available... Can anyone confirm?..... Thanks. Glenn Fin.

Re: Getting Back to the Stick.... Graphite?
I searched for Graphite in the search area: http://www.stickist.com/viewtopic.php?f ... t=graphiteI suspect that the same effort they use to make Graphite instruments will be more focused on production of the RailBoard. Maybe bSharp will chime in on this, but that's my 2 cents. There are some VERY nice instruments in the reserve production area at a discounted rate at Stick.com.

Re: Getting Back to the Stick.... Graphite?
There is no question that Graphite feels different than wood and has a different sound. Sometimes i think that at first glance it is plastic but once you put it on and touch the board any tawdry impressions goes out the window. The sound (clean) to my ear is more piano like . I can totally understand why someone would say I am 'Graphite Man' `J`

.. Besides the feel and bright tone, The stability of the material is incredible. There is no shrinking and/or expanding like there is with wood, with changes in the climate/temp/humidity. Re: Getting Back to the Stick.... Graphite?
There's a 12 string G-Grand on ebay right now: http://www.ebay.com/itm/Chapman-Stick-12-String-Graphite-Grand-/170872026843?pt=LH_DefaultDomain_0&hash=item27c8c436dbAnyone know if the person selling it is on the list? His Youtube video was really good!
