 Andy Salvanos - Dream Recall I've been listening to Andy's latest CD. What a great record. A collection of vinettes only two over four minutes. Gorgeous melodies, beautiful playing. One of the best sounding stick recordings I've heard, and I believe he used an old ironwood 10 string throughout.
This is the Salvanos cd I've been waiting for. "Dream recall" is now one of my favorite stick cd's (ever), a real work of art.
Great Job Andy!! Highly recommended.

I've been experimenting with "fretless" effects for a few years. I rarely use it live, but I do like to work with a variety of sounds when I record.
With the Stick I try not to overuse the effect - the idea is to still hear the distinctive "timbre" of the instrument.
