You know your obsessed with the Stick when....
I've got the week off from teaching, and my main project is painting my rehearsal room. So I go to my local Benjamin Moore store to get some paint. As I'm looking through various greys to make a choice, I noticed the name of the color I liked it's called "Greg Howard" I almost fell over until I looked again and saw it said " Grey Hound". It's time for new contacts and to get away from the fumes. I went right home and put on "Water on the Moon" for a little painting inspiration Brett

How about when I practice playing the Stick about an hour a day. Doesn't sound like much? Oh, I forgot to mention that I don't have a Stick yet. #5712 is about 2 months out. So I'm practicing visualization of bass ostinatos while "playing" a melody over top. So I've gotten to the point that I can think about and tap out two different parts. Not overly complex, but I think it will make a significant difference once me Stick arrives. Gotta do something while the code is compiling.

Actually, you will be suprised to hear that there IS a colour of paint called 'Greghoward'. If you read the tin it says that it is long lasting, won't fade with age, and inspires other people to paint their wall as well.

I think you're obsessed with the Stick (and NS Stick) when you decide to sell your basses because you don't NEED them anymore!

Yea, sold both my Alembics... Did keep a 6-string Grind bass my wife bought me as a gift several years ago. Been playing it in the bands hoping to switch over completely to Stick sometime....not sure if it will happen with these groups or not.
I pretty much only practice Stick now though I will go over some songs on bass occasionally.

All I do is go to school, run and practice stick
I get up at 7am, eat breakfast, practice for 2 hours, get cleaned up, go to class, finish class, run, practice for 2 more hours, do home work, practice more till I fall asleep or my roomates ask me to stop playing get up and do it again. I also have a busking amp I take with me on trips and when I see the family. I eat sleep and breath it. Its the first thing I think about when I get up and the last thing I think about before I go to bed, it has also killed my social life, and my bass playing has suffered for it, but I don't care!

You have had a stressful day, you are dead tired but you sit down and play anyway. In fifteen minutes you feel great and keep playing for two hrs
